How to Register a Fish Business on Amazon

Introduction

If you sell fish, you can register as an Amazon seller and have your own branded storefront. This will give you a presence on Amazon and allow you to sell fish directly to customers. You can also use the Amazon Seller App to manage your inventory and fulfill orders from home or on the go.

To get started, follow these steps:

Get Registered as a Seller

Once you’re ready to register with Amazon as a seller, contact the company via its Seller Central support system. This is the area where you can get help with any problems related to your account, including registering and setting up your store.

The registration process takes about 20 minutes and requires that you fill out an online form with various pieces of information, including:

  • Your tax ID or Social Security number (if applicable)
  • A copy of your business license or other proof of official registration
  • Your business bank account information

Create a Shipping Plan

When you’ve decided to sell on Amazon, the first step is to create a shipping plan so you can tell them how many items and product boxes you’ll be sending.

Amazon will provide you with a template for this, but it’s best if you customize it so that it reflects your business operations and shipping process. If there are any special requirements for packaging or handling, be sure to include these in your plan as well.

Shipment Details

To enter your shipment details, click on the “Shipments” tab in Seller Central. Then select “Manage Shipments” and choose either an existing or new shipment to add information to.

On the left side of your screen, you will see a list of all shipments currently in progress for your account. You can filter this list by clicking on any heading. To add information about one of these shipments, simply click on it and fill in all pertinent fields:

  • Shipment Type – Choose from Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Merchant Fulfilled Prime or Merchant Fulfilled Standard
  • Shipment Details – Enter address information here if applicable (e.g., where your package is being shipped from). You should also include a date for delivery if required/possible; otherwise, leave this blank as Amazon will enter its own date automatically when sending out packages via FBA

Takeaway

You can sell fish, but you’ll need to register as an Amazon seller and follow their rules for shipping food. Either:

  • Register as a seller through Amazon’s Seller Central (this is what we recommend);
  • Register as a seller through Vendor Central

If you choose Vendor Central, your products will be listed on Amazon but sold by them. If you choose Seller Central, your products will be listed on Amazon and sold by you.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to sell fish on Amazon, the first thing you need to do is register as an Amazon seller. This process is relatively easy but does require some time and effort. Once you’ve completed these steps, you can begin shipping your products to Amazon warehouses around the country for storage until they’re ready for pick-up by customers!
